Senior Pastor: Tim and Leigh Ann

Pastor Tim has been a staff member at our local church since 1983 and has been the senior pastor since 1987.  Pastor Tim has long standing roots in Macon.  He grew up in south Macon graduating from Southwest High School and has degrees from Macon State College and Mercer University.  He has been married to his wife, Leigh Ann, for over thirty two years.  Pastor Tim and Leigh Ann have two children.  Their son, Dallas, his wife, Naomi and son, Cohen, live in Macon and attend FEC. Their daughter, Lauren, and her husband, Josh, live in Ohio where Lauren is the children's pastor at Faith Memorial Church in Lancaster, Oh.  Pastor Tim has a passion to see our church reach out to this community and share the love of God with the people of middle Georgia.  When time allows he loves to travel with his family and enjoys playing golf with his friends.

Youth Pastor: Taylor and Amanda Carter

Taylor and Amanda grew up in Macon and met while attending Tattnall Square Academy, graduating in 2008. After high school and feeling the call to full time youth ministry, Taylor attended Toccoa Falls College where he graduated with a degree in Youth Ministry. Amanda, because of her love for children, is a nurse at the Medical Center Children's hospital. They have been married a little over a year. They are both passionate about student ministry and have a desire to reach students in the Middle Georgia area. When they are not hanging out with students, they enjoy traveling, being outdoors and playing with their two special dogs, Champ and River.

Associate Pastor: Brian D. Everett


Brian has served in local church ministry since 1993.  His diverse ministry experience includes Student Ministry, Family Ministry, Associate Pastor, and Co-Pastor.  Brian is a Licensed Professional Counselor and provides Christian Based counseling services at FEC.  In addition, Brian has worked in the Christian Publishing industry serving as Southeastern Regional Manager for Standard Publishing Company.  Brian is married to the former Lindsay Bartlett and both grew up in Macon.  The couple has had the privilege of serving in various church ministries throughout the Middle Ga area.  Brian and Lindsay have 2 children;  James and Audrey.  The Everett family lives in the country and enjoys the rural life with their 2 dogs and 1 cat.  Brian, Lindsay, James, and Audrey feel blessed to be a part of the FEC family and honored to serve on the FEC Ministry staff.

Associate Pastor: Kenny Johnston


Kenny is Associate Pastor of Young Adult and Career ministries at First Evangelical Church. He is married to Julie and has seven wonderful children (Evangeline, Landis, Samuel, Abigail, Hailey, Jordan, Eliana). His interests include Philosophy, Culture, and Bowfishing. 
Salvation came to Kenny on July 2, 1998 while attending Operation Uplift Mountain in Westcliffe, CO. One year later he felt the call to holiness and to ministry. He has been involved in church planting, youth ministry, and summer camps and has a degree in Philosophical and Apologetical Theology.
Kenny's vision for ministry is to be Christ-Centered and Spirit-Filled; to see people Know God in the Gospel, Love God in Community, and Serve God in the Mission.

Children/Middle School: Sandy and Layne Chastain


Layne and Sandy have been married for almost 16 years and have five children: Lilly(14), Ella Cate(12), Daniel(11), Rachel(8) and Jacob(5). They were both born and raised in Macon. Layne has attended First Evangelical Church all of his life while Sandy began coming in the youth group. Layne enjoys working with young people and encourages them to live a life worthy of Christ. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, bike riding and sleeping. Sandy attended Macon State and Georgia College & State University where she received a degree in Middle Grades Education and later a Masters Degree in Educational/Instructional Technology. She worked hard for those degree but enjoys staying home with her kids. She spends most of her time trying to find new ideas and ways to teach children about Christ.

Children's Preschool Coordinator: Marcia Moon Livingston


A native Maconite, Marcia enjoys things southern, everything from her food and music to her way of life. She attended First Presbyterian Day School and the Savannah College of Art and Design where she studied art and architecture. Marcia married Bryan in 2003; they have two children, Jones and Benjamin.

FEC holds a special place in Marcia’s heart as this is the church she has called home for 13 years. She was baptized and married and dedicated both her children to the Lord at FEC. Marcia is eager to share her love for Jesus with our preschool children and encourage them to live a positive life for Christ.
