Our local schools have all started back for the new year.  That clearly indicates summer is coming to an end.  Such are the seasons of life.  One ends and another begins.

I hope many of you, like me, have enjoyed the few cooler days we have had the past week.  It has been so nice not battling the heat and humidity that typifies our weather in these dog days of August and September.  I am hoping these cooler days are a prelude of cooler fall weather to come and all that it will eventually bring our way including the beautiful colors of the leaves as they change, a decrease in grass cutting, eating more chili and, especially, the getting back into the schedules of life that come along with the return of school and the fall season.

What I love most about this time of year is more people seem to get back into the routine of attending church on Sunday.  The travel that comes with the summer season gives way to a routine more centered on school, work and church attendance.  I look forward to seeing many who have had an opportunity to be away for some much needed vacation rest in the services more often on Sunday.  I pray as you get back more into the  routines of your life that being with your FEC family on Sundays and even Wednesdays is something you find important and worth the extra effort.  I know you and your family will both benefit from time spent with God's people in worship each Sunday.

May God give us good days ahead as we look to Him for all that is needed in our life.

Know you are loved much by your pastor and friend!  Still believing God for good days ahead for us at FEC.

In Christ,
